Investigator Profile - Mark H Ellis, M.D.

Dr. Ellis graduated Cum Laude from Harvard University in 1977.  He obtained his MD, MPH degrees in 1981 from Tulane School of Medicine and the Tulane School of Public Health in New Orleans, Louisiana.  In 1984, he completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Arizona Helath Sciences Center in Tucson, Arizona.  He completed his Fellowship in Allergy-Immunology in 1986 at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center.  Dr. Ellis was board certified in Pediatrics in 1986 and in Allergy & Immunology in 1987.  He is a partner in CHOC, Pediatric Subspecialty Faculty, Division of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, a multi-specialty group affiliated with Children's Hospital of Orange County.  He has been Assistant-Director of Southern California Asthma Camp for the Amreican Lung Association since 1994.  He was President of the Orange County Society of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology in 1997 & 1998.  He also has a full-time private practice in Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.  Dr. Ellis has participated in clinical trials for the past 19 years, and is actively involved in Phase II, III and IV clinical research in both the pediatric and adult population.  He has won several first place awards, and has participated in the development of clinical asthma trials and protocols.  His extensive experience includes research in asthma, allergies, atopic dermatitis, urticaria and COPD as a Principal Investigator and Sub-Investigator.
